# rover over virtually eternal roundabouts

In the sauna with different other souls  
I speak a language no one else knows  
My voice quite low  
Purposely so

The trip goes on without a terminal  
To places that grow or dwindle  
Where folks young or old  
Have their stories often yet never told

*そこに居る人々の*  
*知られた知られない物語を聴きに行く*  
  
All the people going somewhere in heat or cold  
On the trains, on the ships, on the decorated personal vehicles  
Are waiting for a whistle to blow  
In the real thin air or a simulated role  
*暑寒にかかわらず歩く人たちは*  
*列車に、船に、飾った自家乗用車に乗って*  
*薄く響く汽笛の音を*  
*現実でも仮想でも待っている*  
  
Around the corner in the artificial tide  
Someone sings a song about another day in life  
Routines I have witnessed with my own eyes  
None of which mine  
*人で造った潮のどこかで*  
*誰かが日常を謳っている*  
*それが私は確かに見たものだけど*  
*私の生活じゃない*  
  
From the concrete jungle where hopes and dreams die  
To the lonely northern monument covered in ice  
In the silent alley in decay stuck in time  
Between the rails and rails cut off by the keep out signs  
Off the reflective glass walls lit by the neon lights  
Amidst the snowstorm with lorries at roadsides  
Under the memorial tents singing Irene goodnight  
There's a ghost passing by  
*夢を殺す混凝土の密林から*  
*北に凍った寂しい記念碑まで*  
*時間が止まって衰退している路地に*  
*立入禁止標識で分けた軌道や軌道の間に*  
*ネオン管に照されて光を反射する硝子の壁に*  
*吹雪の中に路側に止まったトラックの行列に*  
*「おやすみアイリーン」が響く記念のタープの下に*  
*幽霊が通っている*  
  
Random footprints scatter  
Over the imaginary hills and far away  
Visualised memories of all the journeys  
Etched into my skin and bones  
*漫然と足跡が*  
*空想の丘から遠くまで散られて*  
*旅の記憶は目に映り*  
*この身に刻み込んだ*  
  
Rearranged faces from the past  
Orient towards a new crossroad  
Visions of the future destinations  
Emerge to remind I’ll be a  
Rover till I die  
*過去の顔々が並べ替えて*  
*新しい交差点へ向かう*  
*次々の目的地の幻影が現れ*  
*再び思い出させた私は*  
*死ぬまでローヴァー*
